Right before Thanksgiving Hall, Jack, & I went on board the USS Enterprise for one last time to be at the Baptism of Caleb & Gina's son, August. Baptisms are routinely done on board ships in the fleet for military members. The bell of the USS Enterprise holds the holy water that is used during the baptism. Inside of the bell all the names of the children baptized aboard the ship are engraved with the date. Since the Enterprise is the oldest carrier in the fleet and an important boat, the bell will be making it's way the Smithsonian museum after it is decommissioned later next year. How awesome is it that August will be able to visit this bell later in life and see his name right there? Hall is August's godfather and was so proud to stand there with him and take part in the ceremony. Enjoy some pics from the event.
